Villa Del Sol Microsite
Perennials Luxury Fabrics and Rugs

Perennials invites clients to escape from reality for a moment with Villa del Sol, a new collection of fabrics and rugs inspired by breezy palms and tranquil resorts.

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The purpose of the microsite is to create a unique experience for clients to view the new collection. By creating a fictitious resort website, the user can jet set into a vacation that will refresh their mind and decorate their environment to be the 'home away from home'. In designing Villa del Sol, we aimed to offer clients this sense of not only peace, but also the rejuvenation you would find through travel. Many are stuck at home and through Villa del Sol, Perennials will bring the resort to you.

Role: UX/UI, Art Director

Design Process

How might we: help the customer feel more immersed into the site and have them believe Villa del Sol is a real resort?

DESIGN DIRECTION
  • Create pages similar to a hotel stay booking

  • Incorporate beautiful photos to inspire

  • Highlight product information in copy disguised as vacation verbiage

QR Code Postcards

PROBLEM:

How to give the user a real immersive experience without breaking the 'illusion' and creating a series of clicks when directing to the microsite.
What is the easiest way for the user to get to the microsite?

GOAL:

Replicate the experience of visiting and booking through a luxury resort site while maintaining a seamless transition to shop the products.

SOLUTION:

Designed vacation postcards that would be sent out to clients. The postcards feature a QR code that will lead the user directly to the microsite.
This removed the extra step of the user going to the company website first to get to the microsite.

RESULT:

Lead user back to brand site to place order. We were able to measure website visitor traffic sources that were coming from the QR code vs. direct source.
